Pancho was an amazing guide — super communicative before our trip and even helped me figure out local ferry schedule for our return the next day since we stayed overnight at Miyajima. He met us at the Shinkansen (at our car) and provided amazing service from beginning to end!
He is a local expert and his grandfather is a survivor of the atomic bomb. He was also able to speak from personal perspective about how local residents feel about Americans (no ill will) and how kids in Hiroshima have been taught since a young age to promote peace.
He also took us to local okonomiyaki with oysters, and to 7-11 at my husband's request for the smooth vending machine.
On Miyajima island, he arranged for our hotel shuttle to meet us at the port and take our luggage so we can tour with him without extra stuff. Highly recommend Pancho!

Pancho was an excellent guide! He communicated with us 2 days before to be sure the time and location where we were going to picked up. We were on a cruise ship that stopped for one day in Hiroshima. He organized the tour in a great way. He is very knowledgeable of the area and knew there could be a lot of people and traffic so we parked in a Mall near the Ferry Port and from there took a short train ride to avoid traffic time.
Thanks Pancho. you really are a great man and excellent guide! Thanks for all your knowledge and we were lucky you were born and raised in Hiroshima and for the great family values you shared with us!

Exploring Hiroshima with Pancho is truly a gift. He not only knows the history behind every corner, but also shares moving testimonies from his own family that make the whole experience unforgettable. I had visited the city a few years ago, but seeing it through the eyes of such an experienced guide added a whole new depth and meaning to my visit.
He even introduced me to a delicious okonomiyaki at a local spot I would have never found on my own!

We had an unforgettable half-day walking tour with Pancho, a knowledgeable, compassionate, and deeply thoughtful local guide. He shared not only historical facts but also his own family's experience during and after the bombing, which added a deeply personal and emotional layer to the tour.
Pancho also took us to other sites that survived the blast including a school and bank. He guided us through making an origami crane, explaining its symbolism of peace and healing. It was a powerful and moving moment.
Beyond the history, we were struck by Hiroshima's natural beauty, peaceful atmosphere, and resilience. This tour gave us a much deeper understanding of the city and its people. Highly recommend!

It was a last minute booking but it's all worth it. Along with our 11 year old son we had a full day tour in peace memorial park and Miyajima island.
Pancho has an excellent knowledge and was able to show us places that you wouldn't know if you do it yourself kind of thing. Miyajima island experience is also great, not rushed and we took a lot of beautiful photos. Pancho took us to specialty restaurant and it was a great experience. It was my son's birthday and Pancho gifted him a personalised chopsticks which he really loved.
Pancho let us choose which places we are interested. We'll do this again in the future.

My family and I had the privilege of experiencing a private tour in Hiroshima. Our tour guide, Tetsuo (Pancho), truly went above and beyond to make our visit memorable and informative. From the moment he pick us up directly outside of our Shinkansen train car, his passion for Hiroshima's history and culture was palpable, specially knowing he descends from a grandfather and father survivors. He took us for dinner to a Hiroshima classic Okonomiyaki. I highly recommend Tetsuo.
